It's been just a year since our first successful OOMNIUM campaign (you might remember it), and we’re excited to announce: we hit every single growth target we set back then. Now it’s time for the next level – once again, together with you.
For those who don’t know us yet, here’s the short version:
About five years ago, we – Lycra & Kevin – started experimenting with vegan versions of our favorite baked goods, because there just weren’t any good options. We wanted vegan croissants, chocolate croissants, cremeschnitten, and «ham croissants.» Since no one else was making them, we did it ourselves.
And that’s how Bakery Bakery was born. From a successful pop-up came a thriving business: in just a few years, we opened eight locations in four Swiss cities, at top spots in neighborhoods and train stations. And three more are coming in 2025. Wild, right?
But this funding round isn’t just about expanding to new locations. It’s about impact. We want our products to not just compete with non-vegan options – but beat them. In taste, sustainability, and health. No, we’re not going sugar-free or gluten-free. But we’ve been working on a unique process that makes dough easier to digest (think of the difference between bread and sourdough). To do that, we’re taking production into our own hands and reinventing bakery standards – once again. Sounds bold? Trust us – we’ve done it before. And broke a world record along the way.
Bakery Bakery now employs over 100 people – from people with lots of experience to those just starting out. What unites us is the drive to change things, push boundaries, and go the extra mile. We’re not just offering more ways to consume – we want to bring real value to our society.

We’re working toward in-house production for most of our products. Plans for our own facility are already underway – and we’ll be using a unique, still-confidential process. What we can say: we’re tackling the issues of highly processed wheat and fast dough fermentation. Our goal: micro-bakery quality, fully vegan, made efficiently.
We’re focused on sustainability, accessibility, efficiency, and 100% transparency. We’re working to become CO₂-neutral using an innovative process – without compromising on quality. Our products aren’t just «vegan» – we compete with everyone, even the biggest names.

From the beginning, we’ve built our business with scaling in mind – broad geographic reach, maximum impact. (To be honest, not right from the *very* start – only after we had a strategy.)
We’re already well on our way to making vegan baked goods accessible across Switzerland. At eight top locations in Bern, Zurich, Winterthur, and Basel, we serve up fresh baked goods, caffeinated drinks, and curated shop items.
But if you know us, you know we’re not stopping here. In fall 2025, we’ll open three more stores. After that, we’ll target the whole Swiss market – and get our new production site running at full capacity.
